Setup and connection help
Remotiq works between your phone and your own computer on the same local network. These steps cover downloads, pairing, and permissions.
First setup
- Install Remotiq Desktop on your computer.
- Make sure your phone and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Remotiq on your phone and tap Connect to Computer.
- Scan the QR code shown by the desktop app.
- After pairing, use your phone as the remote.
Computer not found
- Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Temporarily disable VPN and try again.
- Allow Remotiq on private/home networks in Windows Firewall.
- Make sure Local Network permission is enabled on iPhone.
- If discovery fails, continue with QR or manual pairing.
macOS permissions
Mouse and keyboard control on Mac requires Accessibility permission. Use the permission button in Remotiq Desktop, then restart the app if needed.
Windows notes
Windows may ask for firewall access on first launch. Allow Remotiq on private/local networks. Some elevated or protected apps may reject remote input because of operating-system restrictions.
Security and privacy
Commands stay on the local network and require a paired trusted device. Remotiq has no account or internet relay for commands; optional mobile Firebase usage and diagnostics can be disabled in Settings.
